Evening Meals at your B & B
Evening Meals - too much hassle?
You may have already decided just to offer bed and breakfast to your guests but without a doubt, the time
will come when you are asked if you do evening meals.
Today, b and b guests are looking for more than was offered a few years ago. You may decide that
providing evening meals is a good option to make you stand out from your competitors.
Assuming you have made the decision the first thing to consider is what evening meals you will offer.
The choice will normally be limited to one or two different meals. People know that a B & B kitchen is
usually a domestic kitchen with the limitations that imposes and will accept that.
Your location can also have a bearing on this. If you are close to pubs and restaurants then people can eat
there but if you are in an isolated rural area guests will not want to drive every night just to be fed.
The important thing is that your guests have somewhere to eat that is affordable and easy to get to. A list of
local establishments would be a good idea with phone numbers and opening hours so that bookings can be made.
Evening meals can be a good choice if you want to add value to what you provide. However, they can be hard work
and you need to offset the pros and cons to decide if it is the way forward for your bed and breakfast.
