Policies to help you run your B & B

Rules are Rules. 

However obvious something may seem it will always work better if you have a rule, or policy, for it.

You don't want to become overrun with rules but it is important that there are some simple ones to get your business started.

Some that you might like to consider.

For Guests. These do not all need to be written down but if you are looking for your guests to follow a few simple rules it's probably better that they know what they are.

• When are rooms available from on arrival day
• When is check out time on day of departure
• When is breakfast served
• What areas are available for guest use
• How to contact you in an emergency
• Location of fire exits and where to congregate
• Smoking policies

You may need to tell guests on arrival some information so make it easy to follow, perhaps in the guest information folder.
